So, the futile pursuance of "Zero Trust" systems employing extra Millions of Engineer hours and extra Billions of dollars has gotten Civilization only a few things we can depend on and use in our daily lives.
Think about it, can you "trust" a widget in the zero trust pipeline to be robust enough and to meet your requirements well into the future with no knowledge of who created it? Take for example the Secureblue Operating System project. Sure, a secure "zero trust" build pipeline, CI/CD yeah, yeah. But can it be compromised anywhere along the way before it got to you/me with DNS poisoning? Yes.
The project is run by an completely anonymous user "RoyalOughtness". Do I trust this person in any way, much less to give me an Operating System? Absolutely not!
Humans in fact need and work on trust, we are wired that way. It is well and good because this ensures our future. Psychologically if you trust nothing and no one, your mental framework will begin to breakdown and you will experience bouts of paranoia and depression because of it, fact.
