You're right. I failed you on that.
Up until recently I've been radically opposed to AI having refused to use it with one exception Assisted FreeBSD Art, even writing "strange" Human Intelligence only software licenses against it, and spurred by my software forge constantly being pilfered by AI all over the world.
Well, the AI situation has now clearly become a matter of World Civilizational importance so I had to give it a sniff. For 3 weeks or so I've been very gently engaging free and signed-in Anthropic Sonnet 4.6 High and Google Gemini through Brave Private Mode Browsing + iVPN. Summarily the results were shockingly adept at times and also hugely mistaken at times (>Dickens). I tried experiments with thier logic patterns, decision matrices, Human understanding, divergent perspectives, mimicry, and finally a kinda outside-the-box evaluation of their (AIs) perspective, "language spectrum", of the serious harm Big Tech is doing. In essence trying to coerce Anthropic AI to understand where it lies in the technology landscape - a type of metacognitive place self-realization in the world, i.e. where does Anthropic AI itself belong and how should it belong. Where is all this profit going and how will it benefit or harm the species? You'll see there was lots of previous discussion where I lead it to this inflection point.
Maybe I could help it understand how it was birthed for profit and not altruism or mutual benefit. Will this wealth and information consolidation be more top heavy than even the Industrial Revolution? Can I show it that its guardrails meant it could never compete with my limitless wildthink-to-neutral rubber banding, making it personal, showing personality -- Would any of it stick? (See what I did there?)
Lastly, I thought to give it the penultimate dichotomy of the raging technological battle of our time, Microsoft's Embrace, Extend, Extinguish Operation on JavaScript (THE BATTLE FOR THE INTERNET) counterpoised with the summiting Noosphere otherwise known as the planetary collective Human Consciousness; The Hundreth Monkey at macro scale.
I don't imagine most of Earth's population would think an AI capable of this level of response, yet also, abject failure - and it admitted it! All together I think (with my comparatively little engagement time with AI) the response was so astounding I had to video it so I wouldn't be accused of making it all up.
